Behind the tall grass and with a small lake as your neighbor lies an atmospheric, newly built retreat with two houses, a lovely garden, space for the children, and a feeling of peace and presence. Just 350 meters away are the child-friendly sandy beaches of the Baltic Sea, and in the middle of the garden, the whole family can enjoy a pool with a view of the treetops. Here, there is room for socializing across generations, as well as the opportunity to retreat to small, cozy corners. Arrive at your own little "summer hotel" with freshly made beds, flowers in vases, and everything ready for that first irresistible cup of coffee.
The interior has been designed with lots of love and personality by the owners, who are also known from TV. The summer house has also been the focus of home reports in Denmark, the US, Germany, France, Norway, and Sweden.
The place exudes a seaside hotel atmosphere with a lovely, exotic touch. The warm colors, natural materials, and cozy rattan hanging chair make you want to relax as soon as you step into the large kitchen-living room. Here, there is plenty of space to lounge on the soft sofas, drink a cup of tea, and read a book while the children play in the secret play kitchen.
Although the house is newly built, the small, quirky details give it a sense of personality and creativity. The kitchen is well-equipped and invites you to enjoy long dinners with laughter and good conversation around the dining table. In the dining room, light floods in through the large windows facing the garden, and here you can open up and invite the outdoors in.
In 2025, the outdoor space became even more magical with a heated pool:
A new, semi-inground pool measuring 5x3 meters and containing 15,000 liters of crystal-clear water is now the heart of the garden. The pool is heated and can be used all year round – for cooling off in summer and as a wellness oasis in the colder months with temperatures up to 25 degrees. The elegant wooden terrace surrounding the pool blends naturally with the existing terrace environment between the two houses. At the same time, it forms a high edge that small children cannot climb over on their own – a discreet and safe solution. Here you can enjoy the sun in a deck chair, take a dip or find shade with a drink in your hand and a view of the garden.
Unique rooms and experiences in the main house and guest house:
The main house, nicknamed "Sydhavet" (South Sea), was built in 2020 and now houses a kitchen-living room, bathroom, and three unique rooms: "Farø" has a built-in bed with upcycled teak cabinets from the 1960s and calm blue tones that invite relaxation. "Bali" and "Bøtø" are each decorated in their own style – from a tropical getaway at child height to a classic Danish summer on South Falster – both with carefully selected interiors and colors.
In 2023, the independent guest house "Noret" was completed. Externally inspired by the rust-red summer houses of the 1970s, but with a warm and luxurious interior: a kitchenette, a bathroom with underfloor heating and Indonesian "ikat" wallpaper, and an impressive 9-person sauna with a view of the garden, an origami loft, and both traditional and infrared heating. The sauna opens directly onto an atmospheric stone garden surrounded by undulating wooden walls inspired by the family's travels to Bali, complete with a cold water tub, a screened outdoor shower, and an old clawfoot bathtub for warm outdoor baths under the open sky.
In total, the two houses, which are connected by a wooden walkway, can accommodate eight overnight guests – with the option of two extra beds, so that the good evenings can be extended into wonderful mornings.
Outside, the garden is full of atmosphere and experiences:
There are lounge areas and hammocks for adults, as well as a swing set and garden toys for children. The campfire site by the lake is the perfect place to gather for shared moments with snobrød (bread baked on a stick), warmth, and cosiness. "Ørnereden" – a treehouse shelter built 3 meters above the ground with a view of the small lake in the backyard and a transparent roof for stargazing – is an adventurous place to stay among the treetops, perfect for both play and overnight stays for up to three people. Mattresses and sleeping bags for use from spring to fall are included.
The covered terrace invites you to relax, while the raw and atmospheric outdoor kitchen from Danish Thors Design – created from recycled bulwark wood from Rødbyhavn in the name of sustainability – offers a barbecue from Morsø, running water, and access to a small herb garden.
In short, this is a place where well-thought-out comfort, playfulness, and aesthetics come together in perfect harmony – with room for tranquility, togetherness, and experiences for the whole family. A modern house infused with classic summer cottage charm and elements from both near and far

Highlights from Kaspar og Lambang

The summer house has a lovely seaside hotel atmosphere with an exotic twist, featuring both local and Balinese details
The quirky, creative, and charming interior design has been featured on TV and in home decor magazines both in Denmark and abroad
The lookout tower, playground, and cool play kitchen inside give kids space to be kids without compromising on adult aesthetics
We are Kaspar and Lambang, and together with our four children, we have a fantastic retreat on Bøtø near Marielyst on Falster. We designed, built, and personalized our summer house ourselves on the TV program Sommerdrømme, and the place is too good not to share with others who appreciate summer house life.
As a family, we are lively, outgoing, and loving, and our summer house was created in that spirit. There is room for friends and family to gather around the table and enjoy the company of others. Our purpose in life is for us and others to be happy.
When we are at the summer house, being close to the local community is the most important thing for us. We enjoy going to the farm shop in Marielyst, buying potatoes from Bo and visiting Pia's flea market in town. We always go to the beach, which is only 350 meters away, or to Bøtøskoven, where there are wild horses.

We thought the home was full of fun and with some great design. The location was superb, within ten minutes walk of a fabulous beach and in an area with plenty to do with young children.
