Welcome to this cozy cottage, which is located high up and undisturbed on a large natural plot. The view of the fjord constantly changes color and light. Enjoy the view from the small sofa arrangement in the glass bay window, or move around on the terraces to find the sun, shade, shelter, or breeze—if you don't hurry to grab the hammock between the trees.
The house was built in 1986 and has been updated within the last five years with a new recycled kitchen, new bathroom, new pine plank floors, and underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathroom. The interior design is vintage-inspired with an emphasis on harmony, a summer house atmosphere, and comfort. The living room is spacious with several sections and beautiful light from the east, south, and north.
The large grounds are often visited by wild guests such as deer, hares, or foxes, and you can enjoy a rich bird life. The wood-burning stove provides extra warmth during the cooler seasons. The rooms are not large, but the space is optimally utilized with sliding doors and easy storage solutions such as wall cabinets, hooks, and bamboo ladders.
Just 150 meters down a path and stairs, you will find the beach with views of Mors, Thy, Livø, and Himmerland. In summer, you can start and end the day with a refreshing dip. Fur Museum showcases the island's unique nature and geology. Visit Fur Bryghus, Havens Deli, or take a trip to the Bette Jenses Hyw viewpoint in the middle of the island.

We are Lars and Betty, and we bought the Brinken summer house in 2020. We renovated the house ourselves, both inside and out, and enjoyed the creative process. Lars is very handy, and Betty loves interior design and finding good second-hand bargains. We fell so in love with island life that we have now settled on Fur.
