The summer house in Veddinge bakker is a former artist's house and with the large windows and intricate, green planting, the right holiday home atmosphere is created even before you step inside. For us, the summer house is where we get together with friends and family. It's where we cook over the campfire, read books and bake freshly baked buns every morning. The cottage invites us to immerse ourselves and pamper ourselves - and every time we visit, we fall more and more in love with the house, the area and not least the nature around Veddinge Hills.
We have a large garden and we enjoy being in it both summer and winter, making pancakes and snow bread over the fire. There are plenty of swings and trapeze for the kids to play on - and driving around Lynghøj in our homemade soapbox car is a must. The beach is also a must. Sejrø Bay offers the most beautiful sea and fine white sandy beaches. We have fallen in love with Veddinge beach in particular, but Gudmindrup beach with its dunes, chalky white sand and delicious ice cream and food stalls is definitely worth a visit. We often visit the small farm shops in the area that sell fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, delicious bread and other specialties. We also often go for walks in the adventure forest in Ordrup with the kids - and in general, there are fantastic hiking routes in the beautiful, hilly landscape.
