Historic Cottage with Direct Lake Access

You'll be staying in a lovingly restored, historic cottage that combines historic charm with modern luxury. High ceilings with exposed rafters, cosy underfloor heating and a crackling wood-burning stove create an incomparably cosy atmosphere. The spacious, open-plan living and dining area flows seamlessly into the fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher.

The cottage's got two comfortable bedrooms—one on the ground floor and one on the upper floor. The modern bathroom's equipped with a spacious shower, a bidet and a washing machine. Guests who want to work while on holiday will find a quiet workspace on the loft, complete with a height-adjustable desk and high-speed fibre-optic internet.

Outside, a large garden awaits you, offering plenty of space to relax. The hosts’ home is also located on the property, though it’s physically separated from the guest area. A special highlight is the optional sauna, which offers panoramic views of the countryside and spectacular sunsets—perfect for a sauna session followed by a dip in the swimming lake. Children can also let off steam at the nearby playground and football pitch. Please note that there's a swimming pond on the property that isn't separately fenced off.

You'll find the swimming lake, complete with a jetty and floating platform, right in front of the accommodation. The surrounding area offers additional clear-water lakes as well as stunning walking and cycling trails through dense forests and the gorges of the Warnow and Mildenitz rivers. Ideal destinations for day trips include the Hanseatic cities of Rostock and Wismar, the impressive Schwerin Castle, and the wildlife park in Güstrow.
