The cabin we want to share with you has been in our family since it was built in 1972, as one of the first up here in the high mountains. The three of us who now enjoy this special place are my partner Line, our 17-year-old daughter Leah and me, Thomas. For us, it's always been more than just a cabin - it's a sanctuary where we've experienced countless magical moments together! We live in beautiful Nesodden outside Oslo, and go to Trysil as often as we can.
We made a conscious decision to preserve the "traces of history" in parts of the cabin, so as not to lose the authentic 70s feeling. At the same time, we've upgraded the bathroom, kitchen and mattresses to meet today's expectations of comfort. Here we want you to eat well, sleep well and find your version of magical moments. Whether it's outdoor activities or a good book and a drink in front of the fireplace.
In the late summer, there are cloudberries right outside the front door, as well as raspberries, blueberries and cranberries - just help yourself! And, of course, you can also use dry goods, spices and other items from the kitchen cupboard.
We love animals, so pets are allowed - with the proviso that they are kept away from beds and furniture so that allergy sufferers don't have any problems.
