In the front row of the Kattegat, wonderfully high up on the green grounds and surrounded by a few flowering fruit trees, lies this architectural gem of a holiday home. The white facade, broken only by simple black lines, and the impressive panoramic windows along the entire length of the house, contrast beautifully with the blue waters of the Kattegat and the green surfaces of the garden.
The waterfront location brings nature, sky and sea right into the cottage as you relax on the large floating sofa or cook in the well-equipped kitchen, where the gourmets in your party can play with the pasta machine and sous vide and conjure up homemade ice cream on the ice cream maker for the sweet red berries of summer. The cottage offers plenty of space to frolic both inside and out if you're a large family or a group of friends traveling together.
Start the day with a dip in the waves or a run along the Lighthouse Trail, which passes right past the cottage on the waterside - perhaps to Gilleleje for breakfast or a trip out to the lighthouse, which towers beautifully over the water. Back at the cottage, you can enjoy board games and books in the living room or garden, take a trip to North Zealand's many cultural attractions, flea markets and farm shops, or simply relax on the south-facing terrace where you can enjoy the sun all day. Here you can still soak up the view of the Kattegat through the large panoramic windows across the house, while being well sheltered: A perfect place for a sundowner drink in the sunset and a lovely dinner that extends into the warm summer night.

Our cottage is the place where shoulders are lowered and the noise and bustle of the city is replaced by peace and quiet, sea views and great company with family and friends. We love cooking delicious food and having fun in the kitchen with our two big kids. When the Oslo boat sails past the house at 5pm, we know it's time for a gin & tonic on the terrace. We've deliberately hidden the TV in the basement and instead equipped the living room with board games, comfortable sofas and furniture that invites cozy conversations. Our holiday home is an indispensable break from our busy work and study life in the city. We love coming here.
The lighthouse path passes right past the cottage on the water side. Along it you can walk west to Gilleleje town and harbor (1.5 km) or east towards the lighthouse and Fyrkroen (1.5 km). If you walk along Fyrstien to Gilleleje and then continue along Gilbjergstien, located on the west side of Gilleleje, you can follow in Søren Kierkegaard's footsteps via an approximately 12 km long hiking route. Cycle route 47 passes by the cottage on the opposite side. It's a signposted cycle route through the small cozy coastal and seaside towns on the north coast between Helsingør and Hundested. Just a few meters from the house is Strandbakkerne, a cozy area with public access, a beach with lifeguard in the summer months and a fantastic jetty. In addition, there are many wonderful attractions and cultural offers just a short drive from the cottage, such as the cultural harbor in Gilleleje, Esrum Monastery and Maritime Museum and Kronborg Castle in Elsinore.
