Restored boathouse on the waterfront at Langevåg

The cabin is an old boathouse that has been restored and converted into a vacation home, with one section that is brand-new and modern and another that has been preserved just as it was. The scent of hemp rope and tar still lingers in the walls of the old section, and maritime artifacts are a prominent feature both inside and out. The outdoor area features a dock and a small marina.

Inside, there is a large living area, a well-equipped kitchen, and a retro-style living room with access to a veranda facing the sea. On the second floor are three bedrooms and a loft living room. A bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink is on the first floor.

The cabin is situated right on the water’s edge, with islands, islets, and skerries just offshore. It’s a three-minute walk to the express boat to Ålesund, which takes seven minutes across the fjord. A public area with a sandy beach is a three-minute walk away, and Sulafjellet, with marked trails of varying difficulty levels, is within walking distance.

The cabin is a great starting point for day trips to Geiranger, Hjørundfjorden, Åndalsnes, Trollstigen, Runde, and the Atlantic Road. You can rent a boat with an outboard motor, a canoe, or a SUP board. It’s a one-hour drive from Ålesund Vigra Airport, or you can take a bus to Ålesund and then a high-speed ferry to Langevåg.
