It’s a beautifully built house in a lovely setting, but in the summer, the area around the house—and all the other similar houses, insofar as their patios and views don’t border the forest—is a bit barren. It was really lovely to see the reindeer passing by every day or lying there chewing their cud right outside the door. The beds were very comfortable. As for the amenities, we did find that a few cups and mugs were missing. Even with just the three of us, we didn’t have enough to last the day. There were also very few dessert bowls—only three. A teapot would also be handy. The surroundings, with the mountains and rivers, are stunning, but then again, we’ve known them for decades. Compared to 15 years ago, tourism has increased significantly.
