In beautiful Tisvilde, close to the sea, the most beautiful white sandy beach and next door to the forest, you'll find this lovely holiday home, which with its grass roof blends naturally into the green surroundings. There's plenty of room for a small family, a couple of friends staying over or big teenagers to settle into the homely atmosphere.
Inside you'll find two living rooms. One of them has high ceilings, while the large window brings in plenty of light. Perhaps you can sense a hint of an artistic atmosphere. When the house was built in 1925 by the painter Axel Ulmer, this room was his studio. Throughout the house, the decor exudes warmth and nostalgia with retro furniture and fine details. Fire up the wood-burning stoves in both living rooms and snuggle up in the soft sofa corner or gather for a game at the dining table.
On the terrace, the Morsø gas grill invites you to a cozy barbecue evening with friends. Outside you'll also find the annex, from where the view of the trees creates a special tranquillity, as one side of the cottage's natural grounds borders the forest.
Take a short walk down to the camp, as the locals call the town. Here you can go to the movies, enjoy a good cup of coffee and feel the buzz of city life. There are always exciting nature experiences to be found right outside the door in the beautiful Tisvilde Hegn area.

My name is Regitze and this is my childhood summer house, which I took over in 2005. Like myself, my two - now grown-up - children have enjoyed all their summer vacations here and we still do. We love the house at all times of the year and have even spent Christmas here a few times. Over the years, I've updated the cottage, but have made sure to keep the original atmosphere. We relax here and feel our shoulders drop as soon as we arrive and get out of the car.
The house dates from 1925 and is located at the entrance to the forest in "Lundene", a beautiful old cottage area characterized by the many artists who have lived here over the years. There are many unique generational houses on large plots between cozy gravel roads and large trees. When we're here, we often take walks, run or cycle in Tisvilde Hegn, which is our closest neighbor.
In the area you can visit Troldeskoven, Tibirke Bakker or the beach, which is also one of Denmark's most beautiful. Some of Denmark's best mountain bike trails are right outside the door. We also like to cycle down to the town to buy bread at the excellent bakery, which is open all year round, drink coffee or eat at one of the lovely cafés or visit the flea market, which opens on June 1 and runs every Saturday throughout the summer.
The house shows its age - I like to compare it to a fine old lady. The ceilings are arched, the doors are a little crooked, as are the old, original windows that don't seal. But there's light and air and good karma, and it's modern enough for teenage children to enjoy staying here.
It says it sleeps 6 adults - but remember that the kitchen and bathroom and bedrooms are small, so the ideal capacity is probably a "nuclear family" with two adults and two children as a base, and then you have the annex for either overnight guests or one or two teenage children.
the "garden" is a natural area and not fenced. Dogs are welcome, but you need to keep them under control, otherwise they will be tempted to run into the woods - and maybe take a dip in the nearby lake...
There are some bikes in the shed, including a decent mountain bike and a good women's bike with gears and basket, which you are welcome to borrow. But I would probably recommend bringing your own bikes; then you know what you're dealing with.

A very authentic cottage with soul and charm. We felt very welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. There is a very special tranquility with the forest as a neighbor, where we were often visited by the animals.
