The decor is tasteful, with many wonderful finds and antiques, spiced up with modern, high-quality amenities. Attention to detail has been paid to every detail. For example, the bedding, duvets and pillows are organic and certified by Animal Protection. As the house has been used as an artist's studio, the north-facing skylights fill the living room with a lovely light. The estate also works with a local wine expert, so there will always be an exciting selection of organic wines you can buy for dinner, after which you can fall asleep with a view of the starry sky from the bedroom on the first floor.

The main house and gardener's cottage are surrounded on three sides by the moat, with a stunning English-inspired park of 20,000 square meters within the ramparts. From the gardener's residence, there is unobstructed access to the park and surrounding countryside. Enjoy the morning sun and the view of the moat and the forest from the terrace, or catch sea trout in some of Denmark's best fishing waters in Lilleåen with a guest fishing license. From Hadsten it is not far to city life with the many cultural offerings in Aarhus, while Kollerup Møllekro at the end of the private road serves delicious food in idyllic surroundings.
