Inspired by the architecture of the American 70s, Mathias and Thomas' house was built on the high banks of the Eider. It contains two apartments that were individually designed and decorated by Mathias. The first floor is completely paneled with oak wood and partly completed with local Jura natural stone. It has an open kitchen with a living and dining area, a bathroom with an elegant bathtub and a bedroom with a 160 cm x 200 cm double bed. Thanks to the large panoramic windows, every room offers exciting views over the river landscape.
On the garden floor, the walls are painted a cozy grey-green to match the hillside location. Large sliding windows also provide a wide view of nature in this apartment. The garden floor accommodates a 160 cm x 200 cm double bed in the bedroom and a 120 cm x 190 cm sofa bed in the living area. A highlight is the round rosewood dining table and chairs with original upholstery from the 1960s.
There is a large terrace on both the ground floor and the garden level, perfect for long summer evenings in convivial company.
In addition to the large garden, the swimming area just 200 m away is also ideal for sporting activities. Here you can not only dive into the cool water with friends or family, but also enjoy all kinds of water sports such as surfing, canoeing, stand-up paddling and water skiing. The wide beaches of St. Peter Ording are also less than an hour's drive away and are perfect for extended summer vacations.

This is where we switch off from our turbulent city life in Hamburg in our free time. As an architect and interior designer, Mathias designed and decorated the house himself. We couldn't imagine a more beautiful location in this unique river landscape. The result is a place to feel good and relax that makes you forget time and space.
