Here you’ll find a fully renovated townhouse from 1862, where history meets modern comfort. Lillebo offers a unique atmosphere with a handcrafted staircase that serves as a sculpture, an open-concept kitchen-dining area bathed in beautiful light all day long, and a 250 cm long bench made from old floorboards, where you can enjoy the evening sun and the sunset from the bay window on the first floor.
The main house features an open-concept kitchen-dining area on the ground floor with a new custom-built kitchen and underfloor heating. The open staircase leads up to a large room with a vaulted ceiling that serves as the living room. The 15-square-meter annex has direct access to a bathroom with a shower and toilet—perfect as a private retreat.
A small front garden with a fish pond welcomes you, while the patio doors open onto an enclosed, sunny courtyard of 25 m². Here you’ll find a lounge sofa, a garden table with four dining chairs, and a wooden staircase that also serves as a bench. The courtyard is sheltered from the wind and private—ideal for meals and relaxing in the sun throughout the day.
Cross the bridge to one of Denmark’s best beaches, featuring a swimming pier and crystal-clear water. Walk five kilometers around Thorø past the small fishing village, or stroll along the shoreline to Assens. Visit Grandts Kaffebar, Butik Hyggeli, and local farm shops. Watch the kitesurfers at Noret or explore Helnæs with Galleri Langager and the restaurant AKS.

I bought Lillebo in 2017 and completely renovated it in 2024. The house is my sanctuary from everyday life in Odense. Here, I find complete peace in the idyllic village of Thorøhuse, where everything moves at a different pace.
I love sitting completely undisturbed in my enclosed courtyard on the lounge sofa and enjoying the peace; in the evening, I enjoy the sea view and the sunset from the bench on the first floor.
I swim year-round from the bathing jetty in the clearest water and the lovely sandy bottom—it doesn’t get any better than that!
I always make sure to take a walk around the Thorø peninsula—which was once an island. The nature trail, about 3 km long, offers coastal scenery, meadows, forest, abundant birdlife, and tranquility—plus views of the Little Belt, Als, Helnæs Lighthouse, and the Jutland east coast. On my walk around Thorø, I walk along Drejet, past the small fishermen’s huts, and up to the farm to check on the goats, the little kids, and the wild rabbits.
