My name is Tove and the cabin at Blæsterflå / Garen is a place where we get energy, all year round! The cabin has a road and parking and has everything we need to make it easy to disconnect from everyday life. Hiking areas are right outside the door; here we can choose whether we want a gravel road in a light trail or out on marked or unmarked trails. In the winter, it's absolutely beautiful to take a trip in the trail network or summit tour if we want to; the favorite is Berakupen which is 1530 m above sea level. The cabin means a lot to us, so we also want to be cozy inside if the weather is not quite right for long walks.
We often go to the nearby peaks, and sometimes take a short drive to the top of Hardangervidda for a hike (on foot and/or on skis) - or to Eidfjord by the fjord where there are cozy cafés and niche shops (the world's best Italian ice cream at Dolce Vidda).
