This historic farmstead in the Harz Mountains is an extraordinary ensemble of three houses, perfect for large families and groups. You reach the property via a 3.5 km forest path – far away from civilization, in the middle of the princely hunting grounds with spectacular views of the Brocken. Here you can experience pure nature: deer call at night, lynx roam the forests, and porcini mushrooms grow right outside the door.
The main house welcomes you on the ground floor with a spacious pine-paneled room with a fireplace and gas tiled stove, a high-quality gourmet kitchen, and a dining room in historic log cabin style. On the first floor, you will find the master bedroom, a second bedroom with four handmade built-in bunk beds for adults, a bathroom with a freestanding bathtub and shower, and a large dressing room.
The other house offers three additional double bedrooms and a kitchen, while the dollhouse serves as a small annex with a loft bathroom. All three houses are furnished to a high standard and strike the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern comfort with an authentic wilderness experience.
Dogs are generally welcome here! However, we ask for your understanding that the main house is reserved for two-legged guests – your four-legged friends are all the more welcome in our two annexes.
Hiking trails start right outside the door and lead you to the water cascades of the Steinernen Renne, the Hohneklippen cliffs, and the Harz narrow-gauge railway. The half-timbered towns of Schierke and Wernigerode, with their unique castle, gourmet restaurants, and children's attractions such as the Western town, are within easy reach. The Brocken is practically on your doorstep.
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you're bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.
