Step into a historical time capsule on Bogø

In Gammelby on Bogø, you'll find a 225-year-old smithy - a cozy half-timbered house with a thatched roof and a good story behind it. Here you can relax in the cozy courtyard, go for walks in the beautiful beech forest or drink a gin and tonic and watch the sunset on Skåningen, from where you can also jump into the blue waves.

The cottage is furnished with both new and old, so it is in harmony with the house's history and authentic atmosphere. The house is 140 square meters and has three double bedrooms, including one with access to the patio and one with access to one of the private front gardens. Open the doors after a good night's sleep and enjoy a fresh summer breeze to the sound of birdsong. Then brew a cup of coffee and enjoy it in the morning sun. Four-legged friends are just as welcome here as the rest of the family, and the entire property is fenced off so no one can escape.

In the morning, you can pop down to Bogø Brød on the harbor where you can buy fresh bread or delicious cinnamon rolls. From here you can take your bikes on board the ferry 'Ida' to Stubbekøbing on Lolland-Falster, with historic streets from the 1800s and a Motorcycle Museum with Denmark's largest collection of vintage motorcycles. You can also take an excursion to Møn, where you can explore nature or visit Møns Klint, with its white cliffs rising 128 meters above the turquoise sea. End the day with a cold glass of rosé in the courtyard, where you can enjoy the evening sun and the birds singing the day away.
