Architect-designed cabin by lake with sauna

You’ll find a 60-square-meter off-grid cabin that combines modern Nordic design with a wilderness feel. Large windows bring in light and views of the landscape, while heated floors, Starlink, and a flush toilet ensure comfort. The main cabin and the annex are connected by the outdoor areas, creating space for both togetherness and privacy, and feature their own generator to supply the cabin with electricity.

Inside, you’ll find light-colored wood and large windows that create a cozy atmosphere. The smart floor plan maximizes space and evokes the feeling of a modern den where you automatically relax. Light and nature are ever-present throughout the year. There is no shower in the cabin, but on summer days, the private pond—1 meter deep—behind the cabin becomes a refreshing and natural spot for a swim under the open sky.

Surrounding the cabin is a landscaped green oasis with a lawn and perennial beds within the ski yard. The spacious 30-square-meter terrace faces the water—perfect for leisurely breakfasts. Behind the cabin, you’ll find a circular patio with a fire pit. Just outside the fence, the wilderness begins with blueberry trails and picking areas, surrounded by blue-marked trails, forest, and untouched nature. Here you can experience the silence—and if you’re lucky, you’ll encounter moose, foxes, and the forest’s rich wildlife.

Take a boat ride on the lake early in the morning or during the golden hour. Bike or walk to Løvlia Turiststue for homemade wheat pastries and waffles. The hike to Gyrihaugen offers spectacular panoramic views of Ringerike and Hole. In the fall, the surrounding forest is teeming with chanterelles and berries.
