Real farm stay in beautiful surroundings

All the way down to Aabenraa Fjord lies the old farm Marielund from 1907. Overlooking open expanses of sea, fields and forest, the farm is a gem in the middle of the landscape. Here, you're sure to find a special tranquillity and atmosphere in the rural decor and idyllic surroundings. You can easily invite both family and friends, because there's room for all of you.

When you enter the entrance hall, you'll see that there are many places to explore. Step into the cozy living room, where you can light the wood-burning stove and enjoy a quiet moment before setting the table for guests in the dining room. While the roast is sizzling in the oven, take a look around. Walk up the spiral staircase and take a look at the cozy rooms and beautifully renovated bathrooms. You can sit all evening in the family room as darkness falls outside. The next day, gather for a delicious brunch with toast and smoothies fresh from the blender.

The whole day can also be spent in the garden. You can sit on the terrace for afternoon coffee and cake, or you can sit in the chairs on the grass and gaze out over the water. At the same time, the kids can play ball or go to the old chicken coop where they can play table tennis. If it's raining, it's also nice to gather here at the table-bench sets for a chat. On hot days, you can lie in the hammock in the shade or watch the cows before firing up the barbecue. Around the house, you can be enchanted by the silence, interrupted only by birdsong and ocean waves.

From the large south-facing garden, you can walk down to the beach and swim every morning. You can also launch your rowing boat and sail out onto the fjord if you've brought life jackets. You can also take your dog for a long walk on one of the peninsula's many hiking trails. In Løjt Kirkeby, seven kilometers from the farm, you can go shopping. In Aabenraa, ten kilometers from the farm, you can visit the Maritime Museum or the art museum Brundlund Castle, where you can see the 15th century castle or look at sculptures in the castle park.
