Stay at an authentic farm surrounded by bluegreen expanses

Right down to the Aabenraa Fjord lies the old farm Marielund from 1907. Overlooking the open expanses of sea, fields and forest, the farm is like a pearl in the middle of the countryside. Here you are sure to find a special peace and atmosphere in the rural decor and idyllic surroundings. You can easily invite both family and friends, because here there is room for all of you.

As you enter, you'll see that there are plenty of places to explore. You can step into the cosy living room, where you can light the wood-burning stove and enjoy a quiet moment before setting the table for guests in the dining room. While the roast sizzles in the oven, you can have a look around. Walk up the spiral staircase and take a look at the cosy bedrooms and beautifully renovated bathrooms. You can sit all evening in the living room as darkness falls outside. The next day, gather for a delicious brunch of toast and smoothies fresh from the blender.

The whole day can also be spent in the garden. You can sit on the terrace for afternoon coffee and cake, or settle into chairs on the grass and gaze out over the water. At the same time, the children can play ball or go to the old henhouse where they can play table tennis. If it rains, it's also nice to gather here at the table-benches for a chat. On hot days, you can lie in the hammock in the shade, or you can watch the cows before firing up the barbecue. Around the house you can be enchanted by the silence, interrupted only by birdsong and the waves of the sea.

From the large south-facing garden you can walk down to the beach and swim every morning. Here you can also launch the rowing boat and go out on the fjord, if you have brought your life jackets. You can also take the dog for a long walk on one of the peninsula's many hiking trails. In Løjt Kirkeby, seven kilometres from the farm, you can go shopping. In Aabenraa, which is ten kilometres from the farm, you can visit the Maritime Museum or the Brundlund Castle Art Museum, where you can see the castle from the 15th century or look at sculptures in the castle park.
