The heart of the house is the large open-concept kitchen-dining area with a vaulted ceiling, a long walnut table, and views of the rolling landscape. A red-painted staircase leads to the first floor with two bedrooms. Through the beautifully decorated hallway, you’ll find two more bedrooms, one of which has a bunk bed. The living room consists of two areas—one for reading and socializing, and one with sofas and a smart TV.

The garden features eight varieties of apples, pears, and quinces. You’ll find a patio with a dining area, a basketball hoop, and secluded nooks where no one can see you from the outside. From the courtyard, it’s a short walk to the beach, which is lovely year-round. The house has been renovated in a rustic style with respect for its original character—nothing is perfectly straight or flawless, but every detail has been carefully considered.

The Øhavsstien trail passes right by the door through the beautiful glacial landscape. Explore Voderup Klint, go shopping in charming Ærøskøbing, or visit the Maritime Museum in Marstal. Drive to Skjoldnæs Lighthouse, or take the free bus into town. Just 200 meters from the house lies Synneshøj—Ærø’s highest point, offering fantastic views.
