Architect-designed 70s summer house in stunning surroundings
Mols Bjerge
Holiday home
100 m²
Up to 8 guests
4 bedrooms
On the enchanting and scenic peninsula of Mols, you'll find this architectural gem of a genuine 70s holiday home - "Martinshøj". Here, nature is very much at the center. Both in the form of the surroundings, but also through the structure and layout of the house. The house's sloping roofs are covered with grass and the entire facade is made of glass, which brings nature indoors and is guaranteed to give you the feeling of being in the middle of it. The stunning views from the living room over the nearby lake, forest and fields are beyond compare. The way the cottage manages to connect indoors and outdoors is completely unique.
The heart of the house is the two living rooms, which have space for both relaxing on the sofa and having a nice dinner around the dining table. One of the living rooms is an extension of the open kitchen, which means you can always be together - even if some people are cooking and others are playing board games. Just as it should be when you're in a holiday home; just being together and enjoying each other's presence. The decor is personal and charming with a mix of Danish design classics and flea market finds. The walls, floors and ceilings are clad in the most beautiful wood. It's stylish and at the same time exudes a sense of home and coziness.
Mols Bjerge National Park is one of the most beautiful places Denmark has to offer, so you won't regret a hike here. With its unique hilly landscape and wild nature, it's an experience you'll rarely forget. Discover the area around the cottage, which offers small winding gravel roads, idyllic old farmhouses and long fields with grazing cows. It's pure idyll. Just a kilometer from the cottage, you can take a nice dip at the nearby beach or go kayaking. A fifteen-minute drive away is the enchanting old market town of Ebeltoft. Here you can enjoy a large ice cream, drink a cold beer and simply feel the special atmosphere of the town.

We are two siblings who have inherited this fantastic holiday home called "Martinshøj". We live in Copenhagen on a daily basis. Martinshøj has been the setting for a large part of our childhood, where we have spent countless vacations here. Originally, the summer house is a subdivision of our grandfather's farm, Karpenhøj, which our great-grandfather built and where our father grew up. The cottage was designed by an architect, was built in the 70s and has been continuously expanded so that today it is large and spacious. Since we've grown up, it has remained our ultimate favorite place. We go here with our own children and we bring the whole family, including cousins and grandparents. We love the view and the silence and the beautiful surroundings.
