Here you have ocean views from both inside and out, and several outdoor seating areas to choose from depending on the sun and wind. Modern decor meets a classic wood-burning fireplace for cozy evenings. Start your day with coffee from a Nespresso or Moccamaster while enjoying the ocean view.
Three of the bedrooms have sliding doors leading directly out to the veranda. The practical floor plan provides plenty of space for the whole family. The wood-burning fireplace creates warmth and coziness when the weather calls for indoor evenings.
The lawn around the cabin provides space for outdoor play and games. Pick wildflowers for the table, or taste the raspberries and blackberries growing around the cabin. Take the kayak out on nice days and experience the coast from the water.
Peaceful surroundings by the sea with swimming opportunities from the beach, rocky shores, or the pier. A wood-fired sauna by the lake is just a short distance away. Beautiful hiking trails start right outside the cabin. Raet National Park (10-minute drive) offers trails along the lake and a climbing park. The Sørland towns of Arendal, Grimstad, and Kristiansand are nearby.

We built the cabin in 2019, very close to where my father and his family are from. The cabin has become a cherished place for our entire extended family, which includes me, my husband Rune, our three adult sons, and their partners.
The cabin is primarily a summer retreat, with easy access to the sea and swimming spots. But we also enjoy our cabin in the fall, with the tranquility that the area offers at that time. You’re close to the sea, the weather, and the wind in all their variations.
We want to share our cabin experience with others and showcase the beautiful area that surrounds us.
