Hello everyone!
We are a Danish family, and Dukkehuset is our Swedish sanctuary that we have owned since 2016. We bought the farm at the same time as our home in Denmark and the arrival of our daughter. It was love at first sight. And we fell in love with the little red house on the hill surrounded by forest and stone fences on our first visit. It was high up to the sky, quiet and peaceful in the middle of nature. In addition, own forest for hunting, swimming lake within 3 km, and located 2 1/2 hours from the Øresund Bridge. It was absolutely perfect!
The property we took over was worn out, in need of love and a lot of work. Now it's coming back to life. There is still work to be done, but the place is magical and we enjoy every minute.
We spend the summer on the big terrace behind the house. This is where life is lived. There is peace and quiet, a wonderful scent of the forest and lively birdsong, as well as breathtaking views, which all combine to create a magical atmosphere. We've embraced the Swedish tradition of fika and love to enjoy coffee and cinnamon rolls out here. We take a nap on the sun lounger or read a good book. In the evenings, we relax with gin & tonic while the food simmers on the grill and our daughter plays. The view of the forest and meadow, which changes with the seasons and beautifully embraces the house, completes the experience of being in the middle of nature. You can see the stars and hear the sounds of animals in the night.
It was crazy to buy two houses at once and become parents within a few months. But we haven't regretted it for a second and hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do. It's literally our second home and therefore full of personal effects, love and good memories. We hope you feel that, and we look forward to sharing our little piece of paradise with you.
Welcome and enjoy!

The vacation home is a dream. Everything is perfectly organized and there is absolutely nothing missing. Our children especially loved the garden and the playhouse. The terrace facing the forest is ideal for dinner and wine in the evening sun. You can also enjoy breakfast outside on the terrace at the front.
Inside, it is very cozy and lovingly furnished.
The hosts are very organized and have great tips for activities in the area. We took advantage of many of them. The swimming lake recommended by the family was especially great. Simply fantastic and very peaceful. We went there several times. With children, a trip to Astrid Lindgren's World is also worthwhile.
We felt completely at home here and the house reflects the family's friendly and positive attitude to life.
It was the best vacation home we have ever had and we can only recommend it. Thank you very much!
