Should you turn left towards the beach or right towards the hilly nature of Mols Bjerge? That's the question you'll have to ask yourself when you step out the door of this lovely holiday home. Unless, of course, you want to spend quiet days on the sofa or on the cottage's large terrace with the sun in the sky.
Prepare delicious meals in the cottage's simple black kitchen and gather around the table to play games and chat in the large, bright family room with a vaulted ceiling. Curl up on the soft sofa and feel the peace and quiet. Through the slatted windows you can enjoy the view of the forest trunks and moss and keep an eye out for squirrels, deer and birds visiting the nature reserve.
On a rainy day, wrap a blanket around your legs, sit out on the covered terrace and enjoy the drumming of the drops on the roof and the fresh, lush smell of rain-soaked leaves. Of course, when the sun is shining on hot summer days, it's time to hit the beach and dive into the waves of the Kattegat. The vast, wild Mols Bjerge National Park offers some of the country's best hiking routes and views from hills and ridges, regardless of wind, weather and season.

My name is Helle and I live in Galten, between Aarhus and Silkeborg.
My summer house at Boeslum Strand means a lot to me. My uncle bought the plot in the 1970s, and I have been visiting since I was a child, when all the trees were small and newly planted.
The summer house is 104 square meters, built from good, sustainable materials, and was completed in 2018—and it is exactly how I want it. I especially love the large terrace, where I spend a lot of time when the weather permits.
I have let most of the garden grow wild, as I want to do my bit for the animals and biodiversity. As a result, there is a lot of wildlife on the property, including many butterflies and dragonflies, birds, squirrels, etc., which I enjoy.
Ebeltoft is three kilometers away, with plenty of shopping opportunities and the Maltfabrikken, which offers a café, street food, and live music in the courtyard. There are several cozy old inns, and the harbor has a lovely atmosphere, the best fishmonger, a couple of good restaurants—and, of course, the frigate Jylland, which is well worth a visit.
But first and foremost, Mols offers some fantastic nature experiences. In the Mols Mountains, you can visit Trehøje, Agri Bavnehøj, and the Mols Laboratory, and from the house, it is about 200 meters to Djursland's best beach, where I love to go for walks all year round.
