This beautiful and carefully renovated house from 1929 is located on beautiful Langeland. The house exudes aesthetic nostalgia with its original mullioned windows, brown bricks and scrubbed facade. Inside, old tiles, patinated furniture, soft colors and light wooden floors set the mood, while black-stained oak wood is used to create an elegant connection between the rooms.
In the interior you'll find a wonderful mix of designer lamps, art and unique flea market finds. For example, notice the beautiful vintage marble sink from 1907 in the bathroom or the antique tapestry from Milan in one of the bedrooms. Moving from the bright dining room into the alluring, dark brown living room, you'll feel an atmospheric shift, while in the butter yellow kitchen you can enjoy the special light from the soft spotlights and a Murano glass plafond on the ceiling combined with the afternoon sun.
Outside in the backyard, you'll find a tranquil view of the neighboring apple orchard and the open field with pheasants and grazing deer, while the many cozy nooks invite the little ones to play. Have a barbecue around the deep green long table in elegant steel and enjoy a shower under the outdoor shower in the evening sun. If you fancy a refreshing dip in the sea, you can follow one of the cozy forest paths down to the beach.

Welcome to.
We are a family with four children and our dog Holly, from Sorø, who have bought this year-round house as our retreat in spring 2025. On a daily basis, we work with buying and selling residential rental properties and have a hectic everyday life with many hours on the road. But when we drive over the three bridges from Svendborg to Tåsinge, to Siø and finally to Langeland, we feel that time stands still and all haste disappears. Langeland is beautiful, hilly landscapes, forest edges and many kilometers of coast. Peace and quiet. Here we enjoy each other, cook from scratch, play board games, tell stories and go for long walks in the forest and by the beach.
The house is from 1929 and will soon celebrate its 100th birthday. It was built by a dairyman who had a reputation for cheating on the butter scale. For this reason, the house was - somewhat derisively - dubbed 'The Butter Castle' by the locals. Unfortunately, the dairyman died before the house was completed and the widow had to enjoy it alone afterwards. We are only the 4th set of owners of the house and we feel very lucky.
