On the island of Sula, just outside Trondheim, you'll find this unique cabin that gives you the feeling of traveling back in time. Here you'll be surrounded by beautiful second-hand finds, paintings from local artists and family photos. When you walk in the door, you'll feel like you're coming home to your grandparents' house to relax - here you can put your shoulders back and just enjoy the scenery, each other and all the great experiences the island has to offer.
Inside the cabin, the interior has a homely feel with references that go way back in time. Heirloom linens, a cozy dining room and living room with a warm atmosphere and older furniture, paintings and photos, as well as unique bedrooms that each have their own nostalgic expression are just some of the things you can look forward to experiencing in this fine cabin. Here you can go on constant discovery and find beautiful and exciting details.
Sula also has great potential for birdwatchers, and in fact many spend several weeks on the island to enjoy this hobby. Regardless of whether you're particularly interested in birds or not, the bustling bird life on the island is a special experience that facilitates many great experiences when you're out experiencing the island. The walk to the lighthouse, which you can see from the bedrooms, is worth a visit whatever the weather.
The sea can be experienced from both the rocks and from the boat, and after a day of adventure together you can barbecue and enjoy the sunset. For the younger ones, there's also a playground and pitches for football and volleyball nearby. Here, the whole family can enjoy the tranquillity and cozy atmosphere together.

We are a family of 6, and after Line fell in love with Sula, we decided together that this was where we had to have a cabin. We fell for the generosity and tranquillity of the island, which only has about 60 permanent residents. The house we bought was built in 1975, and during the complete renovation we wanted to retain its charm by combining second-hand and new, but in the same style, with references to the past. Much of the furniture was bought at flea markets, old Villa in Trondheim or as gifts from people we know. The paintings and pictures are by the family and painted by local artists.
We have many boys in the family and the cabin accommodates all of them, with many beautiful bedrooms that each have their own unique character. When we're out here, the boys like to swim and fish, and there are many great walks in the area. We always go for a walk in the chapel, which is open 24 hours a day, and there's also a nice round trip to the lighthouse - which is a beautiful sight in all weathers. The local area also offers experiences such as the Terna pub, which is open during the summer and attracts a lot of people for food and late nights. The island also has several local artists who exhibit their work and a large gallery that has both Bleken and Gullvåg paintings. Sula is also part of the coastal pilgrimage route. It's also possible to hire kayaks and wooden boats in the summer. There's plenty to choose from for both young and old, and we can't wait for our guests to experience the island.
