Charming Andalusian village house in Casares

The owner designed and built this house with time, enthusiasm and a lot of love. Every detail has a story: the owner bought the wood for the ceilings in its raw state in Genalguacil and handcrafted it. Family heirlooms, restored furniture and objects with soul ensure that, even though it's now a holiday home, it still feels like a home.

The open-plan layout features spaces designed for gathering: a large dining room, a spacious kitchen, and a living room centred around an open fireplace. Throughout the house, you’ll find a mix of antique pieces, family heirlooms—such as Grandma’s hand-restored dresser—and repurposed furniture that fits uniquely into every corner.

The house sits on one of the highest points in the village, with no immediate neighbours, so you can enjoy unobstructed views on all four sides. At the entrance, there’s a barbecue and an outdoor area on a quiet, dead-end street. Although there’s no private garden, you can sit outdoors under a grapevine right on the street, and in season, pick grapes straight from the vine.

From virtually any window, you can see the castle, the countryside, and, in the distance, the sea. On clear days, you can make out Gibraltar and the Moroccan coast. The covered terrace features a large desk and a lounge area. It’s common to see vultures circling above the house from the windows—a special experience for nature lovers.
