Thatched idyll in English style at Gilleleje

Our family recently had the pleasure of spending a week in a truly spectacular summer house just outside Gilleleje, Denmark, and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. Whether we were kayaking on the calm waters, cycling to nearby villages, or playing a friendly game of table tennis, there was never a dull moment. The variety of activities available kept everyone entertained throughout our stay. One of the highlights of our week was the stunning view from the house, especially during sunset. Every evening, we gathered on the terrace to watch the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange, pink, and purple. It was the perfect way to end each day, and those sunsets will remain etched in our memories. The location of the house was another standout feature. Nestled in beautiful surroundings, it was within biking distance of both Gilleleje and Tisvilde, two charming villages that offered a taste of local life. We enjoyed leisurely bike rides to explore these picturesque spots, with their cozy cafes, shops, and friendly locals. Lastly, we have to commend the extraordinary service-minded couple who hosted the property. They were incredibly responsive and went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. Any questions or requests we had were addressed immediately, making us feel truly valued as guests. In conclusion, our week in Gilleleje was nothing short of amazing, and this summer house played a huge part in that.
