In renovating the cottage, the hosts have preserved the classic style of the house from 1965, keeping in mind the warmth, aesthetics and craftsmanship of the time. The renovations have been carried out with a sense of the house's history, but have added the modern necessities that are great to have today. Every detail has been carefully considered - from the tiles from Hasle on Bornholm to the carpenter-built kitchen in pine veneer. All so you can relax and just be when you're there.

Inside the house you'll find a utility room, three small bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen with a home bar and access to the atmospheric terrace. The outdoor life on the terrace in summer is life-giving and encourages good food and wine with friends, lamps in the trees and warm summer nights. The area is open, in the sense that the plots in the area are not fenced in, as it is a requirement that wildlife must be able to move freely and the forest must remain a forest. On the 1900 square meter plot, there is plenty of space and many nice little nooks and crannies where you can sit down with a good book, completely secluded. There are several hammocks you can set up around the forest.

Just five minutes away is the beach, which is completely unique. It's a wide sandy beach with shallow water, making it completely child-friendly, where you can bring a picnic basket and laze all day or just stroll back and forth between the beach and the house. Fredskovens ice cream parlor is within walking distance of both house and beach and here you can satisfy your hunger and thirst - and not least there is ice cream for children and children's souls, because no ice cream is spared in the waffles..

The cottage is primarily designed for relaxation and contemplation in front of the fireplace or a good book on the terrace in a deckchair, but the area in West Zealand offers many experiences. For example, you can easily get around to Tissø bird sanctuary, which has sea eagles, or to a small cozy Viking center that tells the story of a large Viking community in the area. The large Viking center Trelleborg is also just a 20-minute drive from the house and is also worth a visit - especially if it's market day.
