Family holiday home on Als with sauna and shelter

This vacation home, just a few steps from the water on Als, sleeps six, features a loft, and has a shelter at the back of the yard. The house is ready for use year-round and has room for the whole family. The sauna with an outdoor shower lets you take a cold dip and warm up afterward, no matter the season.

The interior is a mix of heirloom furniture and flea market finds in a retro-style. The wood-burning stove keeps the house warm and comfortable even outside the summer season—there’s firewood in the shed, so you’re all set from the moment you arrive.

The yard has two large lawns with space for ball games and shady nooks to relax in. The shelter at the back of the yard provides sleeping space for two to three people, and the patio is used frequently during the summer months.

The Gendarmstien trail runs from Padborg to Skovby, three kilometers from the house, and is suitable for hiking, running, and biking. In Skovby, there’s a Dagligbrugs grocery store, an inn, and an ice cream shop. Sønderborg has supermarkets, home improvement stores, and restaurants, and Kislings is known as the place with the best coffee on Als.
