Inspired by nature, Kerstin and Thomas created the treetop resort in the small town of Ilsenburg in the Harz National Park, which is primarily intended to help you slow down and relax. From here, you can explore the numerous sights in the surrounding landscape with your family or friends at any time of year, either on foot or by mountain bike. The treetop house has a modern cubic shape with large windows and a living space of more than 40 m². Two comfortable double beds (160 cm x 200 cm) await you in the sleeping area for a restful night's sleep. The trunk also has a double bed (bunk bed, 180 cm x 200 cm) for two more people.
In autumn, the colorful leaves give your vacation home a cozy atmosphere. In winter, the underfloor heating ensures pleasantly warm temperatures in the living area. You can unwind at any time of day on the outdoor terrace with panoramic views of the natural surroundings. Another covered terrace protects you from the wind and weather. Special highlight: an infrared sauna.
The Ilsestein, for example, with its height of around 475 m, can be an exciting excursion destination for the whole family. It is only 3.5 km away from the loft and can be easily reached on foot. The Harzer Brocken with its famous Brockenbahn is also very close by and is always worth a day trip.
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you’re bringing your dog. The fee varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night and should be settled with the host upon arrival.

We are Kerstin Emma and Thomas, nature lovers and your hosts at the treetop resort. We came up with the idea of building tree houses during a trekking tour in Sardinia. Immediately after our return, we started reading books about tree houses and making our first sketches. We found the perfect place for the resort in our home town of Ilsenburg, right next to the Harz National Park. Together, we realized our dream of creating a natural and relaxing place of power for people who are looking for peace and quiet and want to discover the beauty of the local region. As our five cubic wooden houses made of larch stand on their own "feet" and reach up to the height of the surrounding treetops, we have given them the name "treetop houses".
