The cottage is a classic house with black-painted log cabin boards and white window frames, and the annex is built in the same classic style. Inside, there's a lovely living room with space for the whole family to cozy up in front of the fireplace or sit out in the conservatory with views of the entire garden through the pretty windows. The traditional grandma style of the house will make any visitor feel at ease, reminiscent of childhood, summer and security. During the winter months, the wood-burning stove is the only source of heat.
In the garden you'll find the toy shed and the house annex with two beds and a workbench. The inside of the house is useful and functional, but it's outside that you'll find the wonderful wild garden with beautiful old trees. This is where the summer days fly by.

Highlights from Casper Og Sofie
Host since May 2021
The wild nature plot is unique in the area and the garden has old trees and a small birch grove with a fire pit
The primitive style of the house really makes you feel far away from everyday life - it feels like when you were a child in grandma's cottage
The beautiful area with only a 4-minute walk to its own beach stairs and fishmonger is wonderful
We are a family of 4: Casper and Sofie and our girl Eddy, 10, and little brother Herbert, 7. We have lived in India for the last many years, and before that we lived in Christianshavn. Sofie works in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and I work as an actor. After returning to Denmark we have settled in North Zealand. We are now posted to the USA again, and live in the summer house when we are home.
When we go to the cottage, we actually just love spending time in the cottage itself. It's our own little bubble. There are a lot of traditions associated with our stay here. The local fishmonger is a regular feature. Our private beach staircase leading down to an unspoiled beach is also always on the program.
Heaterhills hosts many walks and games in the beautiful nature. Tisvilde provides breakfast bread. I use Tisvilde Hegn and Asserbo Plantage diligently for challenging mountain bike rides, because here you'll find some of Denmark's best trails for all levels.
There are also a number of visiting farms in the area, which the kids love.

The house offers relaxation in beautiful surroundings. Encourages outdoor activities both in the form of cooking on the barbecue and games in the beautiful garden.
In the immediate area there is a delicious fish shop "Den friske fisk" and butcher "Kødsnedkeren" which is highly recommended.
There are also plenty of opportunities for hiking both along the water and in the cozy cottage areas in and around Vejby Strand.
