Scenic view, sandy beaches and slow living at Sejerø Bay

In the first row to one of Denmark's best beaches is an old-school cottage with raw brick walls, soulful antiques and sea views. The family is the third generation on the property and considers the cottage a gathering place where the roots run deep.

If you follow the path through the heather, you will land on the beautiful and very child-friendly sandy beach. Here you can take a cool morning dip, soak up the sun in the warm sand or hop on a paddleboard and explore the area by water.

If you need to warm up after a day at the beach, you can enjoy the house's outdoor sauna with panoramic views. If it's a gray day, sink into the sofa in front of the fireplace with a good book or challenge each other to a game of table tennis in the garage's activity room with the evening's dishes on the line.

Odsherred offers lots of beautiful nature and delicious food experiences. You'll find the kingdom's best fresh strawberries and potatoes in the local farm shops, sublime bread at Tir Bakery on Odden, and the most delicious freshly smoked salmon at Odden Fisk. If you're in the mood for an excursion, you can hike in Gniben, go to cozy Rørvig and catch crabs at the harbor, or hunt for fossils in Klint. If you want something easy and close by, just stroll the 600 meters down and get an ice cream at the beach bar Haveje.
