Vast hills and large lakes, lush green and deep blue skies, sweeping views of varied nature - this is Mecklenburg Switzerland, not far from Berlin. Gentle, expansive nature and the tranquillity of country life invite you to truly relax.
The Pohnstorf estate, which was taken over by Kamila and Fabian in 2018, is located in the middle of this dreamy landscape.
Here you can unwind, take a walk in the park-like garden and cook together, gaze at the stars, read books, snuggle up in front of the fireplace, get to know other guests, explore the area... the possibilities seem endless.
The suite is located on the second floor of the manor house and the room layout (two bedrooms, one of which has two single beds) makes it ideal for a vacation with children. You can spend the whole day here either on the large roof terrace, playing in the garden or exploring the surrounding area - just a short bike ride through the forest away you will find a canoe rental and numerous opportunities to really let off steam in nature. Or you can treat yourself to regional delicacies and spend a relaxing day in front of the fireplace.

We have always seen ourselves as Berliners, city dwellers, cyclists, no-car owners, managers, children's store directors, full-time employees, flexible and urban.
Did we want to leave Berlin? Absolutely not. Our balance: weekends in Mecklenburg. The countryside is so vast and so close to Berlin.
Then, at the end of 2017, a casual remark about a manor house for sale, the thought "Just have a look...", then the knowledge: "This is where we belong!"'
It all happened very quickly: four months and one resigned job later, we were standing in the manor house as owners.
Our greatest adventure. We were allowed to live where others go on vacation.
