Enjoy a few wonderful days in this new, architect-designed cabin surrounded by the beautiful nature of Bittermarka. With direct access to trails, bike paths, and ski trails, it is perfect for anyone who wants to explore Norwegian outdoor life. The cabin is located high up and unobstructed, with a view of Trysilfjellet to the south.
Inside, the cabin offers a peaceful atmosphere, with airy rooms and high ceilings. The kitchen and living room have large windows that let in plenty of light and offer fantastic views of the landscape. You may find yourself sitting in the comfortable chairs for a long time, enjoying the view!
The kitchen is perfect for cooking good food together, and the dining table invites you to spend long, pleasant moments with good food, drink, conversation, and board games. Or you can sink into the sofa with a good book, music, or podcast.
Right outside the door, a world of ski trails, hiking trails, bike paths, and fantastic mountain biking opportunities await. In the summer, you can fish in Lake Mjølsjøen, swim in Blekkspruten, pick blueberries and lingonberries, and maybe even meet the goats at Rømonystra. There are several shelters within walking distance for small children. Here you can barbecue and maybe climb onto the roof and jump into deep snow. At the cabin, you can bake waffles or grill sausages in the fire pit, or enjoy a nice warm time in the sauna.
In Trysil, you will find enormous mountain biking opportunities for both beginners and advanced riders. There is also a climbing park, rafting, golf, mini golf, and more.
Dogs are welcome, but not on the beds or furniture!
Since the cabin is brand new, there is still little vegetation around it.

Highlights from Anne
Host since April 2024
- Start your day with skiing, cycling, or hiking right from the cabin.
- Enjoy panoramic views of the sunrise from the kitchen
- Experience Trysil and local delicacies from Bryn farm dairy
We are a family of four with two teenage girls and a dog. The cabin is a family project, built in a place that has been familiar and dear to us for many decades. When we designed our cabin, it was essential to create a spacious and comfortable home that could accommodate both family and friends. There is plenty of space to gather or find your own peaceful corner. We love to cook and have created a kitchen where you can enjoy both cooking and the view. Without a TV, our evenings are filled with board games, reading or knitting, while we enjoy the silence and nature around us.
