Charming forest house near Lüneburg Heath
Hamburg
House

Trine's forest house is less a house and more a home. The Waldhaus 2.0 surrounded by trees is less than 50 kilometers from Hamburg. The impressive nature of the Lüneburg Heath is right on the doorstep.
The Höckel Forest is magical at any time of year. The harmonious twittering of birds and a visit from deer in the garden are part and parcel of a vacation here. The house itself is a unique blend of down-to-earth wooden house and sustainable modernity. The style is minimalist with few frills, but selected decorations by local artists adorn the walls. The room layout is particularly striking: The floor plan resembles an "H", the centerpiece is the open dining and living area in the middle, with a fully equipped kitchen. The large wooden table is perfect for sociable dinners or games. You can enjoy the warming fire in the fireplace from the comfortable hanging chair or sofa.
On the two terraces in front of and behind the house, you can let your gaze wander into the greenery. A favorite pastime: Counting the stars in the clear night sky from the rocking chair. There are two bicycles in the house that you can use to explore the surrounding area. Or you can take a walk through the enchanting forest into the Büsenbach valley. Be sure to try them: The delicious Heidschnucken burgers in the sheepfold!

A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you're bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.

Highlights from Trine
Host since April 2023
- While enjoying a coffee on the terrace, look into the forest and listen to the birdsong - sometimes even deer come by
- Favorite place: The comfortable hanging chair in front of the fireplace with a view of the countryside
- The stylish minimalism paired with special works of art creates a warm and cozy atmosphere
Welcome to my magical place in the forest! I'm Trine and actually a city kid - until I found this paradise in Höckel Forest. for 10 years I lived right next to the vacation home and enjoyed the tranquillity of nature there. I learned to live with the seasons again and to feel each one - the summer bright green and the winter quiet and cozy. Here I am rooted in the forest while living in the city. The forest house was completely redesigned and lovingly built by me in 2020. The desire for a forest house turned into an ecological masterpiece with lots of space that has a lot of soul despite the latest technology. When I'm there, I love to gaze at the starry sky from the terrace or take a walk through the tranquil forest.
