We are a family of 5, with 3 children aged 5-10, a cat and a dog. The cabin dream became a reality when we decided that we wanted to create many great memories and hiking experiences with the kids, extended family and our friends. We chose Blefjell because it's incredibly beautiful, with lots to do in both summer and winter, but it's also very accessible. Only 2 hours from Oslo, 1 hour from Drammen and 1.5 hours from Asker.
When we are at the cabin, we take plenty of time for both cooking and cuddling with a fire pit, hammock, cross-country skiing with trails right outside the cabin, stargazing, alpine skiing, sledding, cycling, hiking, canoeing, sauna and fishing (canoe and sauna are free at Vatnebrynsvatnet, contact the Volunteer Center at Lampeland for free rental.
