The Sea Buckthorn House invites you to socialize, have drinks on the home-made daybed and sunbathe on the terrace. An incredible amount of effort and energy has gone into making guests feel comfortable in the little house and appreciate all the little details that have been selected with such care. The large windows in the living room and kitchen and especially the many wicker furniture create a lovely cottage atmosphere.
The covered terrace is sunny most of the day, and when the sun disappears, you can move down to the terrace at the end of the house and enjoy the sun's last rays. The swim path leads directly down to the water and with only 400 meters, it's not far to an evening dip after a hot day on the terrace.
There are many great places to visit in the area, both within cycling and walking distance. It's worth stopping by the Tversted Lakes campfire site, the nature playground or the shelters located close to the lakes. It's also not far from the cottage to Det Grå Ishus, famous for its homemade ice cream and Bubble Waffles.
The combination of the beautiful, well-maintained cottage and the area close to the beach, water and unique local shops creates a wonderful setting for relaxing and socializing.

- The interior of the house has just been completely renovated, inviting guests and happy days
- The personal and retro decor with flea market finds is selected with details in mind
- Everything has been thought of to pamper future guests
We are a family of five living just 6 kilometers from our holiday home, Havtornhuset, in Tversted.
Morten is the director of a machine workshop in Hirtshals, and Liselotte is a foster mother to our 10-year-old boy.
We took over our lovely holiday home in November 2020 and have since spent the winter renovating it ourselves.
We have chosen to decorate it in a completely different way than our everyday home. Liselotte loves to decorate and we chose the old romantic style for the cottage. Most of the interior was bought at flea markets and second-hand shops, and buckets of white paint were used for the furniture and, not least, for the walls and ceilings in the house.
We put a lot of energy into finding the right things, gadgets and furniture for our beloved cottage. I love ceramics, old wine glasses and dinnerware. So there's plenty of that in the house.
We love being in the cottage and packing for walks in the area. There are many bunkers close to the cottage where you can go on guided tours in the summer. We enjoy the peace and quiet, but of course we also like to do small projects. Our cottage is always evolving as we are creative and get new ideas all the time.
In June 2021, a brand new hot tub with fiberglass insert was installed, which is super easy to use and not least enjoy a starry sky in the evening.
In addition to the many creative DIY projects, we often go out and visit the local area. Sørig Gl School is often on the route. Ceramicist Dorte Hansen is based here and she makes the most beautiful ceramics. You can buy her beautiful homemade cakes and enjoy them in her old garden. When we don't end up in Dorte's old garden, we head to the Gamle Minder shop where we find retro items for the summer house.
