Our names are Trine and Bo and we have recently become holiday home owners. Together with our two grown-up children, we have rented holiday homes around Denmark for many years. Now we have our own, which we often use on weekends. As soon as we drive into Fredsskoven, our shoulders drop and we enjoy the beautiful surroundings of unspoiled nature with pine forest, sea and Harrestrup river in beautiful union.
Just outside our windows there is a wealth of wildlife, and a morning can easily be spent watching birds, pheasants, squirrels and deer. We often go for walks in the immediate surroundings, such as the short walk (300 m) down to the beautiful child-friendly sandy beach for a refreshing dip in the waves, sitting on one of the benches in the dunes and enjoying a beautiful sunset or walking to the nearby ice cream parlor. On cooler days, we light the fireplace and spend time indoors playing cards or board games, knitting, reading or watching a good movie. We enjoy our walks in the local area or on the Clover Trails on Reersø and Røsnæs.
