We're a family of five: mum, dad, two boys and a cat, and we love being at the cottage. Especially during the corona, the view, the air and the water gave us peace and the opportunity to breathe. We usually live in Copenhagen, and now that we are again spending our weekends on sports and other leisure activities, we would love to share the view with nice guests.
One of the best things we know is having guests over for dinner: we love food, drinks and the relaxing setting, and you get that at the cottage. A fun detail is that we actually import champagne from small champagne houses, so if you're interested, you can always let us know - we can show off the cellar or leave a few bottles for your stay.
The beach just nearby is really child friendly. There are rocky dunes that create little lagoons where the water is calm and kids love to splash around. When we are at the cottage we often go to the Heatherhill nature reserve and a trip to the ice cream parlour. We love walking and for us it is a must to have at least one walk a day - just to look at the nice houses in the area, talk and experience nature. Both Gilleleje and Tisvildeleje are nice towns with good lunch places. The area also offers a lot of lovely farm shops where you can pick up freshly baked bread and fresh fruit and vegetables.
