Summer houses both kids and grownups will love

On scenic Mols, in the town of Ebeltoft, lies this lovely cottage. With its absolutely fantastic location, it hardly gets better. It is surrounded by sea, nature and experiences, and must indeed be said to be one of Denmark's most beautiful holiday areas. Explore the Mols National Park, which is known for its varied and diverse nature that can blow you completely away. Or explore Ebeltoft town, with its quirky half-timbered houses, winding medieval streets with cobblestones and flowering hollyhocks. Whatever you're into, Mols is the place to go for a holiday. The summer house originally dates from the 1980s, but has been extensively renovated throughout, so it appears completely unique and restored. It's bright, Scandinavian and minimalist - but with an overall focus on traditional cottage atmosphere and cosiness. The heart of the house is the large living room, where light pours in through the large floor-to-ceiling windows. Here you can lounge on the sofa, fire up the wood-burning stove or read a book to the kids, who are snuggled up on the cushions in the cosy alcove. There's room to just be together as a family. The lovely black wooden house is situated on a lovely, unspoilt natural plot. Wild forest surrounds the house, shutting it off and giving a great feeling of being at one with nature. Enjoy your morning coffee on the 150 square metre wooden terrace - followed by a rinse in the outdoor shower. Lie down in the hammock and feel the calm descend to the sound of the sea roaring and birds chirping softly. Just 200 metres from the house is a lovely, family-friendly beach with crystal clear waters and great opportunities for both swimming and fishing. If you feel like visiting Ebeltoft town, you can experience the world's longest wooden ship, Fregatten Jylland, or the fine glass museum, which is world famous for its unique collection of international modern glass art. The summer house is suitable for two families, as in addition to the main house there is also a lovely, newly renovated annex with five sleeping places and its own bathroom and toilet.
Jesper & Grith
Host since April 2022
Our names are Jesper and Grith. We live in Højbjerg near Aarhus with our three lovely children. Ten years ago we took over Grith's parents' wonderful summer house from the 80s, which is less than an hour's drive away from us - in Ebeltoft. Here we have had endless good times as a family. We enjoy being able to unplug and relax completely in our lovely cottage, which invites us to be close and cosy. We have completely renovated and refurbished the cottage, and in 2021 it was completed. Both the cottage and the adjoining annex have been given a loving hand.
