Welcome to the old village school in Hohenholz—a historic gem dating back to 1860. Originally built as a parsonage and later converted into a school, this special house blends history with modern comfort. The former classroom is now a spacious hall, perfect for your time together.
You’ll stay in spacious rooms painted with lime wash for a healthy indoor climate. Old door hardware, half-timbering, and centuries-old floorboards tell their stories. The house accommodates up to 12 people. In the annex, a wood-fired sauna awaits you—large enough for the whole group.
The park-like garden, with its carefully designed sightlines, invites you to linger. Use the large barbecue area, relax on one of the many seating areas, or enjoy the expansive lawn for shared outdoor activities.
Hohenholz is located along the Oder-Neisse Cycle Route in the hilly lake district of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Explore the region on foot or by bike. Book a guided canoe tour in the Lower Oder Valley National Park or learn intuitive archery. The Polish city of Szczecin, with its restaurants and sights, is easily accessible for a day trip.
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you're bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.

In 2018, my husband and I discovered this abandoned village school and fell in love with it right away. Renovating this historic building was a challenge, but every detail was worth it. We want to offer you a place where you’ll feel right at home—with everything you need.
