Breathe in the fresh air in this classic black cottage in the third row from the sea. Open the white mullioned windows and doors in the cottage and the spacious annex to the large south-facing terrace, which is completely screened and closed off from the road. Enjoy being able to feel the seasons and nature without the disturbance of passers-by. Relax knowing that the house and terrace have been beautifully and personally renovated using hypoallergenic materials and products.
Inside, the house is decorated in bright, coordinated colors and carefully selected finds that create a personal touch. In one bedroom, soft pink walls and vintage details create a poetic mood, while modern art adds an edge. From the bed you can enjoy the view of pine trees, wild dog roses and blackberries, and through the patio door you step directly onto the wooden terrace where the sun always shines when it's cloudless. The second room is ice blue and also decorated with vintage finds. Here you're shielded from the sun in a different way, so you can cool off, slow down and take an afternoon nap on a hot summer day.
The living room, cozy dining area and carpenter's kitchen are all on one level, creating spaciousness and coziness with room for all kinds of activities. For meals, you can gather around the shaker table or one of the two outdoor dining tables, one of which is under a canopy with a heat lamp, so you don't have to leave the terrace on cold evenings. You'll also find blankets to keep you warm in the living room firewood basket. The terrace also features a bamboo sofa and a large sun lounger, a table for refreshments, and a functional outdoor kitchen with running water, gas stove and barbecue. Continuing along the terrace, you'll find a spacious annex with a double bed and a cozy, well-functioning workspace with privacy and good internet connection. Next to the annex, there is a lovely little laundry room for washing and drying clothes.
The cottage is hypoallergenic and sustainable, as all textiles are cleaned with fragrance-free and hypoallergenic products, and fragrance-free shampoo, soap and washing powder, detergents and air purifiers are available. The accommodation is therefore particularly suitable for asthmatics, allergy sufferers, people with chemical sensitivities or mold sensitivity - and anyone who is simply environmentally conscious. For the sake of future guests and the family itself, it is essential that you do not use perfumed products or essential oils. It's worth mentioning that the family has a hypoallergenic dog, a Cavapoo, that lives in the house.
The beautiful beach is a must-visit. It is only 200 meters away, and you let yourself in with a key to the private beach staircase. Here you can sit on one of the lookouts and enjoy the incomparable view of the cliff, beach and sea. Then head down the 130 steps of the beach stairs to feel the sand between your toes and finally, if you're feeling up to it, take a dip in the clear and cool water. Tisvilde Hegn is also a wonderful experience all year round. Here you can go mushroom hunting in the fall and pick branches and wildflowers in the spring, or enjoy a jog in the peace and quiet of the forest. Tisvildeleje also offers a lot of great places to eat, local shops and cozy flea markets.

When it's cloudless, sun on the terrace from early morning to sunset

Located third row from the water with access to the beach via private beach stairs
My name is Birgitte and I have a summer house in Tisvildeleje with my husband. We both love spending time in the house and on the terrace, because it's great to be here all year round. This is due to Tisvildeleje's beautiful nature, the special light (when the sun is out, the terrace is sunny from morning to evening) and the lovely fresh air that is so characteristic of this area. You can clearly feel that you're close to the sea. So we relax, play games, cook lots of food. As soon as the weather permits, we cook in our outdoor kitchen, preferably with herbs and berries we've gathered in the garden and in the surrounding nature or on trips around North Zealand. We also like to read books and plants and garden (although it can be a bit wild). We also enjoy taking the dog for walks, preferably to the beach and maybe jumping in the water or just enjoying the fantastic view from one of the beach staircase lookouts.
Tisvilde Hegn is also a beautiful experience all year round, with many different walking and running routes to choose from. In the afternoon we often cycle or walk into Tisvildeleje town, have an ice cream and shop in some of the small shops.
On Saturdays, the flea market in front of the station is a must from May to the end of August. In the evening, Tisvilde Kro or some of the other cozy restaurants in town are worth a visit, where you can find everything from the best family-friendly pizzas to fantastic gourmet food. If you want to enjoy the sea view while you eat, Helenekilde is just a short walk away. Rabarbergården in Holløse or Tinggården in Asserbo are also highly recommended.
