Between Tisvildeleje beach and the Heather Hill nature area, you'll find this stunning cottage gem designed in the style of the Louisiana Museum by a Danish architect in the 60s. Large panoramic windows stretch along one side of the house so you can watch the deer visiting in the morning and the sun setting behind the trees in the evening.
The cottage is decorated with a modern Scandinavian aesthetic that harmonizes with the house's characteristic bungalow architecture with straight lines, wood and brick. This creates a stylish, yet cozy and inviting atmosphere with the rustic charm and original details preserved. The kitchen and living room are openly connected, divided only by a fireplace in the middle. On cooler days and evenings, it is the focal point of the living room where you can cozy up with a book or board games and listen to vinyl on the record player.
Around two sides of the house you'll find a lovely wooden terrace, partially covered so you can use it in all weathers. The garden is inviting with its large lawn with all-day sun and plenty of space to play ball and badminton or jump on the trampoline. The rest of the garden is left to grow wild so you can feel the nature in the grounds.
Just 200 meters from the house you'll find a stunning new beach staircase from where you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets. At the end of the stairs is the beautiful Holløselund Beach with its characteristic breakwaters.

The unique 60's architecture and large windows connect the house to nature
The house is located on a quiet road just a few hundred meters from the sea and beach
Just 10-15 minutes by bike to Tisvildeleje and the beautiful Tisvilde Hegn forest
We live north of Copenhagen and we enjoy heading up to the cottage on weekends and vacations with our two children. When we bought the house six years ago, it was something of a fixer-upper, and we set out to renovate it with respect for the original 60s look that we both love. We enjoy the fact that the house is so close to the water and that it's a quiet and relaxed area - while you can be in Tisvilde with all its shops and restaurants in 10 minutes.
We love the different beaches - from Heather Hill to Asserbo, the amazing Tisvilde Hegn and the landscape at Tibirke Bakker. We go running in the woods all year round and mushroom picking in the fall, where we also love cycling around the area and shopping at everything from our local fishmonger, Den Friske Fisk just around the corner, to all the local farm shops in the area. The Saturday flea market in Tisvilde is a regular ritual and there are plenty of flea markets at farms around the area. We enjoy ending the day with a drink on Hotel Helenekilde's terrace overlooking the Kattegat, and watching the spectacular sunsets from the beach steps at our cottage.

Very nice vacation home from the 1960s, beautiful location with nice landlords... The shower gives you the feeling of being on a sailboat...
