Log cabin with private waterfront and views

Discover beautiful, peaceful Hedalen and our traditional property! We are a family of four who have owned the house for four generations, from the small, still preserved log cabin that was built as a hunting lodge 125 years ago, to a modern cabin with comfort and customized extensions. We are very happy to be able to share this blend of elegance and tradition with others.

The house is located in a peaceful, well-established vacation area, without being isolated, but with some distance to other cabins, so that you are surrounded by untouched nature. This provides a unique tranquility, cozy nature views from all windows, and plenty of space for children and adults to play, with opportunities for sunbathing on the terrace, snow lanterns, sledding, ski racing, fishing, rowing on the lake, swimming, bonfires, expeditions on the property, animal tracks in fresh snow, all within our 9 acres, completely undisturbed.

Large windows and various seating areas indoors allow us to enjoy nature from our armchairs or around the dinner table with friends.

The place is perfect for two families with children, an extended family, or 2-4 nature-loving adult couples.

We put on our cross-country skis outside the door and walk up the trail on the mountain from the bottom of our driveway. This gentle, private driveway is also great for sledding, as no other cars drive there. When the ice is safe, we make a jump and sledding hill down to the water.

A maximum of eight adults are recommended in the cabin, as the bunk beds in the family room and the extra seats around the dining table are intended for children. Please contact us if you have any questions.
