Log walls from the old hunting cabin meet modern standards and architecture in a perfect blend of tradition and contemporary style. Two bedrooms on the first floor and loft rooms with 5 beds on the second floor provide space for two families or three couples. The large central room is perfect for games and board games.
The property offers privacy and tranquility, with a shoreline and views from both the terrace and the glass-enclosed veranda. The stream 100 meters away is a great play area for the little ones under supervision.
Hiking trails are right outside the door year-round. In winter, you can enjoy 120 kilometers of groomed ski trails in the mountains. Visit Hedalen Stave Church from the 12th century, a unique historical monument with fascinating legends from the Black Death era. Moltetoppen and Bubekksæter are great destinations for shorter family hikes, while Reinsvann, Slafjell, and Hælseren are suitable for longer excursions. There are also excellent fishing opportunities.

A family of four has owned this home for four generations, transforming it from a small, preserved hunting cabin built 125 years ago into a modern cabin offering comfort and custom additions.
Experience unspoiled Norwegian nature, history, and tradition, along with all the amenities: electricity, water, heated floors, bathroom/sauna, fully equipped kitchen, delicious freshly ground coffee from our Delonghi Specialista machine, groceries delivered to your door, charging station for electric cars (charging not included), road access to the door, private parking for several cars right outside.
Cabin in a peaceful, well-established vacation area, set a short distance from other cabins, so you’re surrounded by pristine nature. This provides a sense of tranquility, lovely views from every window, and plenty of space to play for young and old alike, all within a 9–10-acre private lot, completely undisturbed. Large windows and various indoor seating areas allow you to enjoy nature from the armchairs or around the dinner table with friends.
Summer/Fall: sun on the terrace, fishing, swimming, bonfires, exploring the property, hikes in the woods and mountains, bike rides (bicycles must be brought along).
There is a canoe or rowboat on the property. Fishing gear and life jackets are available.
Winter: cross-country skiing, sledding hill, snow lanterns, animal tracks in fresh snow, starry nights without light pollution. Cross-country ski trail starting at the bottom of our driveway. The gentle, private driveway is great for sledding, as no other cars drive there.
Two pairs of snowshoes available to borrow for those who don’t cross-country ski or for the “shoulder season” in April/May. Some basic ski gear for children or for those trying cross-country skiing for the first time.
The place is perfect for two families with children, an extended family, or 2–4 nature-loving adult couples.
We recommend a maximum of eight adults + three children in the cabin, as the bunk beds in the family room, as well as the extra seats around the dining table, are intended for children.
Note! Change from photos: The dining table has been moved into the living room to create more space, and an induction cooktop has been installed.
