Château de Panisse
Steeped in history and bathed in Provençal light, Château de Panisse owes its name to the Toscane family who settled there in the 15th century. Nestled at the foot of the Alpilles mountains, close to the Camargue and Luberon regions, the estate enjoys a rare location in the heart of authentic, unspoiled Provence.
The château opens onto a two-hectare park, surrounded by fifteen hectares of AOP Provence olive groves, offering a natural setting of great serenity, punctuated by the song of cicadas and the scents of the South.
A place of inspiration and encounters, Panisse was once frequented by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Jean Mermoz, Jean Giono, and Marcel Pagnol. The latter even borrowed its name to create the famous character of Maître Panisse, a literary nod to the soul of the place.
Today, the château combines historic charm with contemporary comfort:
the kitchen, bathrooms, and large swimming pool have been completely renovated, in keeping with the spirit of the estate, to offer an experience that is elegant, warm, and resolutely focused on the Provençal art of living.
A timeless place, ideal for getting together, slowing down, and savoring Provence at its most authentic.
