Oldes Hytte may sound very old, but this fantastic holiday home was actually newly built in 2021. Here, on a completely undisturbed plot, you can marvel at the incredible views of Venø Bay. The plot is elevated above the Limfjord, giving you the most incredible view of nature, water and sky.
The lovely wooden house may be newly built, but the land has been in the family for 30 years. The children's great-grandmother bought it back in the day and the family had some great years in the beautiful old house. The old house has been replaced by a new one, but the atmosphere, tranquillity and Oldes' lovely nature can still be found. The decor is characterized by flea market finds, cozy things and quirky objects from Oldes' old cabin. The nostalgia is intact.
The house is just 47 square meters and is inspired by the 'Tiny Houses' trend - that is, it's furnished with built-in storage and every square meter is utilized. The six beds are divided into two bedrooms, making room for a spacious and airy kitchen-dining room with the most beautiful water views.
Let the calmness fall over you. Take a nice hot bath under the stars and relax in the alcove. Face the fjord and enjoy the breathtaking views.
The newly installed electric car charger can be used for a fee and by arrangement with the host.

My name is Lise.
Oldes Hytte means a lot to me because it was my grandmother who bought it back in 1992 to get out to the great outdoors. She bought it from a couple from Herning, who I think built the old cottage in 1968 out of the boxes used to import American cars in the 60s. "We've always spent a lot of time at the cottage, because we grew up very close by. My brother and I often went up to Granny's after school and ate delicious macaroon cakes.
In 2021, we got permission to demolish the old cottage because even though we had replaced rotten boards, painted inside and out, the little pocket of time with all the original interior was falling apart. We loved the small, rotten wooden house where no one was scolded for walking in with dirty boots, but it was on its last legs. The new wooden house was built by local craftsmen with a focus on sustainable materials, and our eldest son Sofus named it 'Oldes Hytte'. We have done everything we could to bring Oldes good karma into the new house.
At Gyldendal Harbor there is a lovely restaurant with an ice house. There is also a very child-friendly beach and it's a perfect spot for crab fishing on the small bridge in the harbor. Around Gyldendal and Lihme there are countless hiking trails in unique nature areas. Close by is Kås Hoved, where the moraine hills contain traces of three ice ages. The fjord off Kås Hoved is popular with anglers because the reefs, eelgrass and seaweed create optimal conditions for sea trout.
I'm always ready to help if you need anything.

The house is perfect and as described. Waking up with the view of the sea never gets old. Everything was at out disposal and straight forward. Our kids loved the place and the beach 1km downhill. We made memories for life here and we're so glad we found this place. As a 'living in the city' family we think its the perfect gateway, rain or sun.
