We are Karen Laura and Sille, and we are sisters and hosts of the summer house here at Veddinge Bakker. Sille is an architect and designed the cottage, and our parents built it for our family.

We love that the cottage is so close to the beach. The smell of heather and rain, sun and sea is wonderful, and the beach is alive with kayaks, supboards, fishing nets, amber and sandcastles. We also love being in nature near the cottage. Odsherred Geopark is a UNESCO Global Geopark, so nature is unique, and we've been able to watch the Tour de France overlooking Sejerøbugten from Esterhøj.

We also like to experience the culture and art that is near our holiday home. Huset in Asnæs is a good gallery, and Foreningen Ovnhus has a market in Nykøbing Sjælland in the summer. For the kids, Sommerland Sjælland is great, and the ice cream in Ordrup is also worth the drive. We're also happy to get delicious organic meat and vegetables at roadside stalls and farms near our summer house.
