Welcome to our beautiful sanctuary close to the forest and beach. This is where my family and I love to be - and we want to share it with you. The garden and terrace are where we find peace and reset the hustle and bustle around us, whether it's the gentle start of morning coffee, sunbathing on the terrace, lunch in the shade under the oak tree or evenings around the fire pit.
The forest and the beach are favorite areas for us. On the beach you can find both quiet and more lively areas. If you walk directly from the house to the beach, you will reach the quieter part. If you walk/bike/drive to telegrafvej where there is a large parking lot and a small ice house, there are more people but also a lifeguard in high season.
Rørvig has a great flea market every Sunday from Easter to the fall holidays. It is located right next to the inn in Rørvig, which is a favorite and very good place to eat both at lunchtime and in the evening. Vin&Tapas, also located in Rørvig, has recently opened and here you can eat really good tapas on site or take it home. They also make a really good pizza.
700 m from the house is the local and good street food, where it is cozy and lively during opening hours. There are two mini golf courses, one at Streetfood and one in Rørvig. The harbor is a nice area, especially for children if they want to go crabbing. The fishmonger is very well stocked and definitely worth a visit. There are several small and good shops in Rørvig that offer nice things for the home or for yourself. Nykøbing also has several good shops (my favorite is Salka Valka) and a small cozy pedestrian street that also has both a theater and a café. The harbor in Nykøbing also offers a great area with a flea market twice a week during the high season.
Dragsholm Castle and Moto are both within easy driving distance if you want to experience them. Moto in particular requires booking well in advance.
