Cozy forest cabin close to the beach in Rørvig

Welcome to LilleLy, our retreat near the forest, the beach, Rørvig’s restaurants, and Nykøbing’s shops—in the northeastern part of Odsherred.

We find peace and quiet and unwind in the garden or on the terrace, whether it’s with a gentle start to the day over morning coffee, in a lounge chair, with lunch in the shade under the oak tree, or in the evenings around the fire pit.

On the beach, which is within easy walking distance directly from the house, you’ll find a quieter stretch. If you walk, bike, or drive to Telegrafvej, where there is a large parking lot and a beach café (seasonal only), the beach towels are closer together, but there is also a lifeguard on duty during peak season.

Rørvig has a wonderful flea market on the inn’s neighboring lot every Sunday from Easter through the fall break. There are actually many great places to eat, and new ones are popping up all the time. Our favorite is Louie og Venner, located at Østergade 5 in the old butcher shop. It serves truly well-prepared dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, excellent coffee, and a wide selection of wines. Organic ingredients, sustainable fishing, and local production are top priorities.

There’s also an inn 700 m from the vacation home—close to Spar—and a new bakery called “Alice” has just opened; in addition to delicious breakfast items, they also bake pizza for lunch and dinner. There are two mini-golf courses, one between Alice and the inn and one in Rørvig across from the inn. A brand-new SPAR is also on the way in Rørvig (opening in the fall of 2026). The harbor is a lovely area, especially for children who want to catch crabs. The fishmonger has a great selection and is definitely worth a visit. There are several small, charming shops in Rørvig offering lovely items for the home or for yourself. Nykøbing also has a cozy pedestrian street, featuring both a theater and several great shops (among my favorites are Salka Valka and its neighboring shop, La Etiquette, a Spanish wine shop). The harbor in Nykøbing also features a great area with a flea market twice a week during the high season.

Anneberg Park and Dragsholm Castle are both worth the drive. Please note that most places require reservations.
