Jakob and I decided to take over the family cottage in 2020, after Jakob's mother, who has owned the house since 1982. We've been coming here since the early eighties, and feel a strong connection to the area and the unique nature. Our shoulders slump and our nervous systems calm down when we feel the west wind, the scents of the beach and forest and the sound of the North Sea. We love watching the sun set into the sea from the top of the dune behind the house, sometimes with a glass of wine in hand. We love an early morning swim in the North Sea, all year round. In the same way that a cup of coffee in front of the stove can bring happiness.

The time we spent in the vacation home was just perfect for us. The quiet location on the edge of the forest behind a dune was very inviting. Even on stormy days, it was just the right place to curl up with a good book and a fire in the fireplace. The proximity to the beach was exactly what we were looking for to watch the sun set over the North Sea or spend a day by the water. The kitchen is well equipped and the whole cottage is stylishly and practically furnished. Everything you need is there. Only the shower is a little rustic, but it worked fine. We would come back here again 🧡
