Classic 1937 cottage on a natural plot

Our names are Christina and Nicolai, and we’re from Ny Hammersholt. When we’re at our lovely summer house, this is where we can truly unwind and relax completely—whether indoors with a good book on the couch and a fire in the fireplace, or out on the beautiful natural grounds in a lounge chair.

If we’re in the mood for a bit of activity, we just head over to “Alice in Rørvig” at Rørvigvej 225, which has a microbakery, an ice cream shop, and a café—right next to the mini-golf course. Or we’ll take a bike ride to the beach or to Rørvig—there’s plenty of life and a cozy atmosphere there.

When we took over the vacation home, our mission was to renovate it in a way that would still let you feel its soul. We think we’ve succeeded very well in that. Originally, the cottage was only 36 square meters, but we expanded it in 2022, so it’s now twice as large. We made it a priority to have a spacious living room so there’s plenty of room for everyone. We also prioritized insulating the house and installing a heat pump, so it’s comfortable to be in year-round.

In 2026, we’ve slowly started our next project: updating the outdoor areas with new patio furniture and the like, so new things are gradually being added.

When we’re here, we cycle and hike a lot in the surrounding area and the rest of Odsherred. We take walks along the gentle hills near Nakke to Korshage Beach. We also visit lovely Rørvig, which has a very special atmosphere with its harbor and small shops that are fun to explore.
