The house is our favorite retreat from everyday life. Richard Bo designed the new part of the house, which has a vaulted ceiling. The brick floor is also thanks to him. The old part of the house was called 'the gunpowder house' by the locals. The reason for this was that part of the interior walls were built with hardwood from boxes of ammunition that were dropped during the war. We spend time in the house whenever possible and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. We are especially fond of the deserted beach with good bathing water and the nearby dune plantations at Ålbæk and Skagen. During the summer months, we have a teepee on the nature reserve for retreats. When the need for entertainment arises, we either go to a restaurant or concert in Frederikshavn or to a fish restaurant, art museum or city tour in Skagen. The Skagen Railway connects both places and it takes about 20 minutes to walk from the house to the nearby platform.
Babies and children are welcome in the house, but you must bring your own equipment for this age group. The same goes for pets.
